Pigment Blues

This series of blue abstracts deal with pure expression and light, the use of wax creates a random shape, which assumes a new meaning in an abstract context. Sanchita went through a phase of creating hundreds of these abstract paintings, fascinated by the feeling of exhilaration that comes from a few strokes of paint. Although people might look at them and think they look very similar they are all very different and imbue an energy that comes from a single stroke. They were also a release from her more labour intensive and meticulous work.
